Chad Woods

Founder, President


Chad Woods has over 20 years experience in high technology and business applications development. Chad is originally from Westlake Village, California and now resides in Minden, Nevada. Chad attended the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas where he graduated with a degree in Business Finance. Chad has a real passion for fishing that was developed during his childhood. He started fishing freshwater and soon developed his skills at deep sea sport fishing off the California Coast. After college Chad became an entrepreneur and formed a business in 1998 called TECK.net an Internet Development company. This soon became a very successful company that is still in operation today. From his passion for the outdoors and fishing Chad began a new venture in 2000 to fill a need for current fishing reports and conditions called SportfishingReports.com. This soon became one of the leading fishing information websites and supports the Southern California Fleet from Ventura to San Diego. NorCal.FishReports.com™ is the next business venture to complement and overall vision of providing the most up-to-date information available to the individual fisherman's needs nationwide.

Rick Romano
Creative/Technical Director

Rick has over 20 years of marketing media and technology experience. As one of the initial adopters of emerging Internet technologies dating back to the early 90's, Rick is a recognized leader in business operations utilizing Internet technologies and multimedia. Rick attended Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and graduated with a BSBA in Business Management. The Founding Partner and CEO of AspenMedia, a full-service marketing communications agency established in San Francisco in the 1994, Rick has been highly successful working with customers from all disciplines and business models. His past clients include eRetailer sites, manufacturers, professional service providers, major market radio stations, enterprise web platforms, and consumer brands. Rick has had the fortune of working with international F-500 companies and household names, such as Bank of America, Yahoo!, and GE, and has helped build emerging brands from concept to launch. Rick now resides in Parkland Florida and started Rainfire Media in 2012. Rick has a deep passion for fishing and the outdoors as well and has been involved in the fishing industry in Southern California since 2000 when he moved to Orange County. His mutual interests in the fishing industry is what brought Chad and Rick together in this venture. Rick has recently joined the NorCal.FishReports.com™ as creative director and lead frontend engineer.

Frank Galusha

Sales Manager

After a career in hi-tech advertising, marketing and public relations in Southern California, Frank “retired” in 1997 in Shingletown to live, fish, hunt and write. After a few years of community service, he began writing an outdoors column for local weeklies and an online news service based in Chico. Upon realizing there was a need to promote the region, he launched MyOutdoorBuddy.com in 2006.

Frank currently lives with his wife Jean and Kohle, their black Lab, in Shasta Lake. Frank’s favorite color is camo. His other favorite possessions are his “Raddison-type” canoe from which he hunts waterfowl and his all-Mossy Oak Yamaha G3 17-foot aluminum boat, which he uses for both waterfowl hunting and fresh or saltwater fishing.

Tim Goode
Managing Editor

Tim Goode has been writing sports since 1974 and covering outdoors since 1981. He began writing about fishing for the weekly newspaper, Chico Times. He later established an outdoor column at the Peninsula Times Tribune in Palo Alto, CA. He became a contributor to the Bay Area News Group papers after the closing ofr the Times-Tribune.

In the spring of 2010 he established NorCalFishingNews.com, an online magazine dedicated to providing daily news, weekly reports and regular tips about fishing in Northern California. The site gained rapid popularity and in 2011 was awarded best Outdoor Website by the Outdoor Writers of California. The site earned third place honors in 2012 and was again named the top site in 2014.

Goode also is a longtime high school and American Legion baseball coach. He lives with his wife, Maureen, and three children in Menlo Park, Ca.
