8 Day Check In
Checking in from our 8 Day with some excellent fishing all around. We started off with wide open action on the 25-50lb grade Yellowfin Tuna. After filling a well, we moved on to the Yellowtail and they didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed some steady action for a few days. Managed to scratch a few Wahoo for good measure as well. Overall, fun fishing and good eats.

Excellent Yellowfin Fishing
We are off to a great start on our 3 Day trip. We liked what we saw on our last trip, so we decided to head back down to the Yellowfin zone. They didn't disappoint. We wrapped up our first day of fishing with 76 Yellowfin Tuna from 50-80lbs. The grade of fish remains exceptional and we are hoping for another good day today. Stay tuned.
Yellowfin
Made a long move and it paid off. The Bluefin pulled a disappearing act, so we switched gears and were rewarded with some fantastic Yellowfin fishing. The grade of fish is still exceptional. Most are in the 50-80lb range with a few larger. Flyline baits on 60# and size 1 hook has been the way to go today. If you are on an upcoming trip please be prepared for fishing both Bluefin and Yellowfin. We will take advantage of whichever conditions are best.
3 Day Yellowfin
We headed south on this last 3 Day in hopes of capitalizing on the good sign of Yellowfin Tuna. It took some looking, but we found what we were searching for. Ended up with 77 nice grade Yellowfin for our efforts. With that fish on the move, we are headed back out west to the Bluefin zone on this morning’s trip.
3 Day Wrap Up
We had to work for it, but we managed to put together a solid count for our 3 Day trip. Our group had 77 Bluefin Tuna for their efforts. After a quick turnaround this morning, we are headed south on our annual West Coast Fishing Charters 8 Day. Hoping to mix things up with some Wahoo, Yellowfin and Yellowtail. We have a travel day in front of us, but we will keep you posted as we get into the zone.
