Recreational crabbing will open off our coastline as scheduled beginning this Saturday, November 6.

HOOP NETS and SNARES are permitted to be used through the end of the year.

CRAB POTS are not permitted during November and December in an attempt to prevent whale entanglement.  CDFW anticipates the next risk assessment will take place in mid-December to announce if there will be any changes for January.

Unfortunately the commercial crab season will remain closed through at least December 31.
