Golden Gate Fishermens Assc.
Golden Gate Fishermen’s Association (GGFA) board member Johnny Atkinson hit the road today alongside James Stone of the Nor Cal Guides and Sportsmen’s Association (NCGASA) and George Bradshaw from the Pacific Coast Federation of Fishermen’s Associations (PCFFA).
Their first stop was at the Feather River Hatchery, where they expressed appreciation to the dedicated staff for all the great work they’ve been doing for our fisheries. From there, the group continued north to the Coleman National Fish Hatchery to personally thank the team for their tremendous achievements this season, collecting upwards of 28 million eggs.
This remarkable production will directly support The Bridge Group’s ongoing projects, including Fish on the Rice Fields, imprinting pens on the Tehama-Colusa Canal, and direct releases of fed and unfed fry.
Johnny Atkinson shared,
“In my entire fishing career, the success of the Bridge Group is by far the brightest moment.”
The Golden Gate Fishermen’s Association extends its gratitude to all involved for their dedication to rebuilding and protecting California’s salmon fishery for generations to come.
