Dear GGFA Members,

As we wrap up the month of March, we want to update you on the hard work and dedication the GGFA has put in to help shape the 2025 Salmon season.

Johnny Atkinson, aka "Freshy," a dedicated member of our Board of Directors, spent a week in Vancouver, Washington, attending the council meetings. His tireless commitment and efforts to advocate for a viable 2025 Salmon season were pivotal, and he remains hopeful that there may be a limited season this year.

In addition, many of our members and officers attended the public hearing in Santa Rosa on March 24th, where they voiced their input on the proposed alternatives for the upcoming season. The discussions focused on what is best for both the fishermen and the fishery, and everyone is hopeful that the outcome will support a healthy and sustainable 2025 Salmon season.

The final decision regarding the 2025 Salmon season will be announced in April, and we will keep you informed of any updates as soon as they are available.

We at the GGFA truly appreciate the unwavering support of our members and want to assure you that we will continue to work tirelessly on your behalf. Our commitment to advocating for you and keeping you informed about the latest developments remains our top priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your representative from your harbor. If you're unsure of who your representative is, please contact GGFA President Michael Rescino, and he will be happy to assist you.
