Golden Gate Fishermen's Association Press Release

3-25-2025
Golden Gate Fishermens Assc.

 Dear Members,

We are proud to share an important update regarding the continued efforts for the 2025 salmon season. Last night, on March 24th, many members of the Golden Gate Fishermen's Association attended the PFMC Public Hearing in Santa Rosa to voice their support for a limited 2025 salmon season.

Our president, Michael Rescino, spoke on behalf of the organization, making a compelling case in favor of a very limited season to help ensure the sustainability of salmon populations in our waters. His statements were strongly supported by all members present at the hearing, underscoring the unity and commitment of our association to responsible fishing practices.

If you were unable to attend the public hearing on 3/24/25 but would still like to make a public comment, you can do so via the online portal at https://pfmc.psmfc.org/Meeting/Details/3084 in the public comment section under D2. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to your GGFA representative at your harbor.

The Golden Gate Fishermen's Association would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and collaboration that everyone has put into working on the potential 2025 salmon season.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our cause. We look forward to keeping you updated as the process unfolds, and we remain dedicated to working towards a sustainable and responsible future for salmon fishing in California.

Sincerely, The Golden Gate Fishermen’s Association
