3 Day Wrap Up

Hi Gang,

We returned to Point Loma Sportfishing this morning from a 3 day trip at 0700. We ended up having a pretty nice trip. We had some bluefin action on our first afternoon, decent scratch bluefin fishing the next morning, had a wide open night bite, and looked at new water our last day in hopes of finding the 70 to 120 pound fish that went missing. We did not find that better grade bluefin yesterday but we did have some kelp paddy yellowtail action. The night bite we experienced on night 2 was nothing short of amazing. The guys that were on it were getting bit every drop for over an hour on the flat falls and the Daiwa SK jigs on the straight tied 100#. The grade of fish were 20 to 35 pounds. Super good fishing. Our final fish count was 73 bluefin and 38 yellowtail. The jackpot winners for the trip are as follows: third place went to Dan Mcnamara with a 45.5 pound bluefin, second place went to Charley McGee with a 56.1 pound bluefin, and first place went to Paul Flack with a 56.2 pound bluefin. Strong work men! Thank you to everyone that fished with us. We are out on an early departure 1.5 day this morning. Thanks for checking in. Wish us luck, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
