Fish Report for 6-28-2020

Avet 7 Day Wrap Up

Bill Cavanaugh

Hi Gang,

We returned back to port this morning at 0515 with a very nice catch of yellowtail, yellowfin tuna, and bluefin tuna. The fish coming off of the boat looked amazing as we spent the extra effort to spike, bleed and rinse every fish that was landed before it was submersed into the 32 degree RSW well. We also did a cold water flush of the RSW well to ensure our catch was the best quality possible. Our jackpot winners for the trip are as follows: third place went to Eric Hart with a 41.1 pound yellowtail, second place went to Gerry Tesselaar with a 41.3 pound yellowtail, and first place went to John Todd with a 43.0 pound yellowtail. Strong work men! Honorable mention goes to 10 year old Kolton Kristopher from Ventura, California with his personal best yellowtail at 39.5 pounds and his first ever Gulf Grouper that weighed 34 pounds. Good job Kolton! A huge thank you to Harry and Sarkas Alajajyan from Avet for hosting this trip and for their generosity with all of the reels and swag they provided to all of our guests. Thank you to everyone that fished with us. It was a pleasure. We look forward to fishing with everyone again next year. We depart on a Larry Brown 5 day today. Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
