We started the day off fishing the mainland near Eugenia. The Yellowtail action was steady on 30-35 lbs. Yellows first thing in the morning. It was fun fishing until we lost current mid morning. At that time we made a couple hour move to fish an island in search of more Yellows. At first the move looked fruitless, we still lacked current. Then a little before lunch the boat swung a different way and the fish started to bite. It turned into a real fun day. The fish started out in the 12-18 lbs. class then the bigger ones moved in. These brutes also averaged around 30-35 lbs. We had a side JP going for the biggest Yellow of the day which Scott Redd won with a fish that was close to 50 lbs.
