HAPPY NEW YEAR from INTREPID SPORTFISHING The New Year started out on the slow side as far as catching big Tuna goes, but by the afternoon things got turned around and we once again boated some very nice fish. We had fish from the 170 lb range on up to our largest fish of the day which taped out at 336 lb's. This is INCREDIBLE to say the least.. We did have a couple of heartbreaks again today. We lost a very large Tuna that required three back-up rigs to get him slowed down. After over two hours on the fish he chewed through the line and swam away a free giant. The big fish honors go to Bud Ruschmaupt with the 336 lb Tuna and David Choate with a 313.6 lb fish! Needless to say, we will finish off the trip right here tomorrow before heading up the line for home. Happy New Year from "The Intrepid Team"
