The Perfect Pace 1/13/06

When out on the grounds for so many days with nice weather, we are bound to see all the ups and downs. The day before we got here it was wide open and the first couple of days that we fished, it was very good. After that it tapered off and was tougher fishing and we really had to work at it. Today we enjoyed a nice drift where we were able to keep at least one or two going at all times. It was a perfect pace, especially because 70% of the bites were on 200 pounders. We lost a few big ones and also brought up many 150-190 pound fish and our 200pound total was eight. Mark Smalley lost a cow but backed it up later with today's best, a 233 pounder. We are looking forward to tomorrow and are enjoying each other's company as this is a very mellow and laid back group.
