Need To Be Slapped 1/9/06

During the last two months of fishing this zone, the catching has been coincidental with the weather. When there is no wind, not only does it make it easier to get on the fish, it makes it easier to land the fish. For all you folks that have friends or family out with us or on one of the other boats, let me inform you that the weather is good. It's easy to get caught up in all of this and we found ourselves in a position several times where we would shake our heads. We left biting fish a couple of times because we were only catching fish in the 170-195 pound range. With time on our side it was easy to make this decision. In the fleet today there was one over 300 pounds caught as well as a few 225-285 pounders and that is what we would like to find tomorrow. Uncle Pete Nelson caught a 247 pounder which was the larger of the two we put aboard today. At times it is easy for us to complain, but we can't as we once again enjoyed action on beautiful grade fish all day long.
