Sea Wolf Friday Report
8-25-2023
Jon Yokomizo
The Sea Wolf fished the islands Wednesday and today. On Wednesday we looked over deep water and marked a few stones with good chilipepper, yellowtail and vermilion rockfish and a few lingcod out in 450 to 550 feet of water. We had beautiful weather with very little current and finished up with 200 rockfish, 28 petrale sole, 230 sand dabs and 20 lingcod for our 20 anglers. Today Captain Joe and Deckhand Maddie finished their day with 230 rockfish and 46 lingcod for their group of 23.
There is a weather pattern starting with some wind through the weekend and into most of the week so we will be fishing the coast on the days we have enough to run. Once the weather forecast stabilizes I’ll send a quick post on next week’s weather. Starting next Friday through the end of the year we’re going to be fishing 300’ and deeper due to the quillback that have been caught. These deep water trips will be weather dependent so I’ll regularly post weather updates. Book your trip at seawolfsportfishing.com.
