Captain Aliyar called in with us today from the Polaris Supreme:

We got in this morning from a 1.5 Day, with very good fishing. Limits of Bluefin up to 100 pounds for our 24 passengers onboard. Most of it was in the 40-60 pound range. Good sign of fish out there.

30# fluorocarbon and a size 2 hook was the go to setup yesterday. Most of the fish were caught on flylined sardines. Be prepared with the heavier gear that you can fish a jig or sinker rig on as well.

We have a 5 Day trip that we added departing after Christmas. We’ve seen a good Bluefin Bite on this trip during previous years. We also have some 3 Days we added in December.
