LOWER BANKS REPORT

11-22-2019
Mike Ramirez

Hello anglers,

After making the long run down to the lower banks I am happy to say it paid off.

Just after grey light the big fish started to get around us, boiling on every piece of chum that went into the water. A few of the guys decided to drop down in line size but that was a mistake!  One guy casted a bait on 50 pound witch got bit in about 30 seconds but it only took a additional 30 to spool the guy! I didn't have time to clip on the back up rod, luckily the line broke at the hook. About noon is when the fish started to bite the 100 pound. We also started getting a few on the kite. It was a short window about 3 hours by the time the yft disappeared.  When the dust had settled we ended up with a handful  of yellowfin tuna from 90-150 pounds and one cow a 233  pounder caught by Pete Price. We also had several heartbreakers just out of reach. Weather a pulled hook or chewed through line it's always a bummer when a trophy gets away. We will be working our way up the line tonight.
