Arriving on scene a few hours after daylight, we had high hopes after hearing some of the other guys and their morning drifts - we were very excited. Needless to say.... we were late to that party.
After a little bit of time looking around, we were able to get a few jig strikes and stop the boat on 18 to 25lb bluefin, and between the jig strikes we hit a few kelps scratching away at some offshore yellowtail.
Around afternoon snack we were in the mid day lull - but not taking no for an answer... around six thirty
(the ninth inning) we came across a biting school and were able to land 43 bft in that stop and end our day.
