Here it is straight up... fishing down here in the lower zone has not been easy. The gang has been working very hard the last couple of days to put fish on their boats, and Today was no different. On the up side of things - all these nice fish are still around, it is just very short windows throughout the day when they want to bite and you better be in one of those spots when that goes down.
Today was one of those days - up until dark we had 10 fish on the boat and it was almost quitting time when all of a sudden the Sonar lit up with a school. It was sheer pandemonium for about a half hour with fish 50 to 101lbs hitting full speed. When the smoke cleared, we ended up with another 25 fish which finished our day on a high note. The photo of the day is our buddy, Uncle Larry with his 132lb Tuna he landed earlier in the day...he was stoked.
Tommy on the Polaris Supreme caught a 364lb Yellowfin Tuna - so they're still around!
