Labor Day is the one day of the year when I always go fishing with my Dad.  He's had an annual trip on the boat ever since I first bought the boat from Nick.  More often than not, it seems like we've been blessed with good fishing, and good weather on this trip even when the odds seemed stacked against us.  Fishing had been generally poor, and the forecast was not good, but it appears we've gotten lucky once again.  We rolled into some action on 20-40# bluefin yesterday afternoon with some hot and heavy sundowner action.  After a few good stops in the dark, we took off for the island in search of other game.  We've had a very nice day of scratching at quality yellowtail on flyline baits and surface jigs.  We still have plenty of daylight, so we are hoping to cap it off with a trophy or two this afternoon.
