We were pleased and relieved right off the bat with our weather conditions when we woke up on the grounds yesterday. After about an hour of searching in the dark, we were able to locate some fish that were willing to cooperate at around 0430 and gave us the first couple bites of the day. A couple 75# bluefin and a 125# were brought on board in the gray and we continued to scratch some more 50 to 80# grade throughout the morning. Our morning bite slowed and we ventured west. About 0930 we started our second drift on a very impressive school that wanted to play. Flyline baits on 40 and 50 pound worked great and we kept 3 to 8 going until about lunchtime! Our next two trips are cancelled for weather but we are online for Wednesday night for another 1.5 day.
